Why is there a pound rate plus a dollar rate listed above?
This is because with the US local SIM you have two balances: the UK2Abroad balance and the local SIM balance.
All your incoming and outgoing international calls are charged to the UK2Abroad balance (in pounds) plus the local SIM also charges a rate per minute for calls made and received (in dollars) which is standard for all US mobile networks. So to get the total call cost, you just add the two together.
The local SIM credit is also used for sending text messages and making any local calls.
When topping up local credit: $10=30mins, $25=130mins, $50=400mins, $100=1000mins.
Note, we already include a minimum of $20 US local SIM credit in the cost of the SIM card.
